Environmental activism is the set of actions taken to promote environmental protection and sustainability. These actions can include participation in awareness campaigns, participation in demonstrations and protests, promotion of environmental policies, and education on environmental issues. Environmental activism is often conducted by non-governmental groups and organizations, but can also be done by individuals active in civil society. The main goal of environmental activism is to protect the ecosystem and ensure a sustainable future for future generations.

One of the most famous environmental activists is Greta Thunberg, a young Swedish activist who started striking for climate outside the Swedish parliament in 2018. Since then, she has drawn global attention to the issue of climate change and inspired a global movement of climate strikes. She has spoken at many international conferences and events, including the United Nations Climate Summit and the World Economic Forum. She also wrote a book entitled “No One is too small to make a difference.”
