Corporate social responsibility
Corporate social responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a company’s commitment to operate ethically and sustainably, taking into account the effects of its activities on society and the environment. CSR goes beyond a company’s legal obligations and includes addressing social and environmental issues, respecting human rights, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting community well-being. They are often classified according to ESG criteria.
CSR can include initiatives such as promoting sustainable practices in production and energy use (also concerning their own website, with a digital sustainability path), supporting charity projects, engaging employees in the community, and being transparent in communication with stakeholders.
Companies that adopt CSR practices can contribute to creating a positive impact on society and the environment, and can also benefit from a higher reputation and customer loyalty, as well as increased attraction and retention of employees.
