Global Warming
Global Warming
Global warming is the increase in the Earth’s average temperature, caused primarily by the increase of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide (CO2), in the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases trap heat in the atmosphere, making the Earth warmer.
Human activities, such as burning fossil fuels to produce energy, transportation, agriculture, and industrial production, contribute to the increase of greenhouse gas emissions and global warming. Additionally, climate change can have consequences for the environment and people, such as extreme weather events, like hurricanes, cyclones and droughts, sea level rise and loss of habitat for some species.
It is important to take measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment in order to limit the effects of global warming. This can include using renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, conserving biodiversity, and adopting sustainable practices in the agricultural and industrial sectors.
